The #Run4Climate 2024, part of the ROOTS campaign, aims to raise awareness on climate change, encourage multi-sectoral participation, and fund restoration of Uganda’s landscapes. Scheduled for June 16, 2024, at National Council of Sports, Hockey Grounds, Lugogo it highlights the severe impact of deforestation, with Uganda losing 41.6% of its forest cover in the last century. The event seeks to restore 300,000 trees and support other environmental initiatives. Participants include students, government bodies, NGOs, and the international community. Activities include running, walking, speeches, entertainment, blood donations, HIV testing, exhibitions, and aerobics. Individual tickets are UGX 25,000
